Agnes Mildred Prusek, 94, Cedar Rapids, died early Monday, May 19, 2014 at the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy, Hiawatha.
Services: 10:30 A.M. Wednesday at Papich-Kuba Janeba Chapel West, 1604 "J" Street S.W. by Rev. Del Bear. Burial: Czech National Cemetery. Friends may call after 9:30 A.M. Wednesday at the funeral chapel.
Agnes is survived by nieces, Linda Slepicka and Teri Lowers, nephew, Ronald Hewitt (Diane), grand niece, Jessica Lowers and grand nephew, Jason Lowers, all of the Chicago area.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Prusek, mother, Jennie (Bures) Kouba, father, Joseph G. Kouba, sisters, Bessie Schmidt and Helen Hewitt, brothers, Milo Kouba and Edwin Kouba, and also two very dear friends, Pepi and Honey.
Agnes was born July 30, 1919 in Cedar Rapids and was a lifelong resident. She married John Prusek on September 19, 1942 in Kahoka, Missouri and he died August 16, 1957.
