Aurelio "Frank" Perez, 93, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away on Thursday, October 24, 2024, at Mercy Medical Center, Cedar Rapids. Visitation: 10:00 – 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, October 29, 2024, Papich-Kuba Funeral Service, Cedar Rapids. Burial to follow at Saint John's Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.

Frank was born on October 11, 1931, in Cedar Rapids, the son of Augustine and Josephine (Castillo) Perez.

Frank was united in marriage to Lenora Edwards on July 30, 1949. They were married for 71 years.

Frank enjoyed bowling, golfing, gambling, fishing, and hunting. He had a long career with the railroad and retired from the CRANDIC. Frank was a Jane Boyd baseball coach for four years. Frank loved spending time with his family

Frank is survived by his children, Mary Jensen, Paulette (Jim) Wood, Debbie (Dale) Soukup, David (Julie) Perez, John Perez, Janet Perez, and Steve (Tina) Perez; 13 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren; brother, Augie (Carol) Perez; sister-in-law, Cecelia Perez; and faithful companion Ziggy.

Frank was preceded in death by his parents, wife, children, Timothy Perez and Vicki Perez; daughter-in-law, Jodene Perez; son-in-law, Melvin Jensen; siblings, Mary Zimmerman, Lorenzo Perez, Victor Perez, and Paul Perez.
