Belva (Jones) Butcher, 81, of Cedar Rapids, passed away peacefully on June 29, 2016 with her loving family by her side.
Always wanting to be of use until the very end, she chose to donate her body to the University of Iowa for research. A celebration of Belva's life will begin at 4:00 P.M. Saturday, July 9, at the CSPS Hall, 1103 3rd Street S.E., Cedar Rapids.
Belva is survived by five children, Traci Faber (Randy) of Ames, Iowa; Kelly Keyes (Rich) of Redmond, Washington; Darcy Baloch (Tariq) of Cedar Rapids; Wayne Butcher of Redmond, Washington; and Corey Butcher-Bassett (Hurley) of Cedar Rapids; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; cousins JoMarie Seeber and Dorris Dyal; and nephew Michael Seeber (Molly).
She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Dora Tvrdik; her mother, Elsie Jones; and a number of loving aunts and uncles.
A private burial will be planned at a future date.
