Carleeta C. (Chadima) Eichler, 90, of Marion, formerly of Cedar Rapids, died Monday, July 10, 2023 at the Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy, Hiawatha.

The  Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 A.M. Friday at Saint Wenceslaus Catholic Church, Cedar Rapids, by Father Dennis Conway. Burial will follow at Czech National Cemetery.  Visitation will be after 9:00 A.M. Friday at the church.

Carleeta is survived by her husband of 71 years, Edward; children, Chris (Terry) Christianson, Ed (Jeanne) Eichler and Bruce (Kaye) Eichler; 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Mildred (Sigmund) Chadima; sisters, Arlene Albaugh and Irene Prior and her grandson, Jeff Anderson.

Carleeta was born July 10, 1933 in Cedar Rapids and was a lifelong resident.  She graduated from Wilson High School and met her future husband at Danceland.  Carleeta married Edward C. Eichler on June 5, 1952 at Saint Wenceslaus Catholic Church.

A memorial fund has been established.
