Carol Leitheiser, 78, passed away on January 6, 2025, at Ridgeview Assisted Living, Cedar Rapids, Iowa. A Gathering of Friends and Family will be held from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 11, 2025, at Papich Kuba Funeral Service, 1228 2nd Street SE, Cedar Rapids, Iowa 52401.

Carol was born September 15, 1946, in South Dakota, daughter to Isidore and Eileen (Konze) Locken. She was united in marriage to Louis Leitheiser on December 27, 1966, in South Dakota.

Carol led a straightforward life, filled with her passion for playing bingo, caring for dogs, and spending time with her family.

Carol is survived by her husband, Louis; children, Kim (Dennis) Greene and Troy (Cathy) Leitheiser; grandchildren, Jacob Scadden, Alexa Greene, Tasha Greene, Leah Greene, Katelyn Leitheiser, and Trevor Leitheiser; and siblings, Gerene Safranski and Mary Lynn Gerber.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
