David Lee White, 88, of Cedar Rapids, passed away Thursday evening, December 21, 2023 at Mercy Medical Center.  Private burial will take place at Saint John's Cemetery.  Papich-Kuba Funeral Service is serving the family.

David is survived by four children, David (Kim) of Marion, Cathy White and Vickie White, both of Cedar Rapids, and Bradley (Kari) of New Smyrna Beach, Florida; sister-in-law, Janice Glessner of Hiawatha; nine grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley, of 60 years; son and daughter- in-law, Steven and Patti White; his parents, William and Loretta White; granddaughter, Ashley White, and 4 brothers and two sisters.

David was born October 25, 1935 in Cedar Rapids.  He was married on November 2, 1953 in Iowa City to Shirley Koppess.

David's family would like to thank the staff at Evergreen Estates I for the wonderful care they provided to him.
