Della I. Novak (Dostal) age 88, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away on Wednesday, May 7, 2025, at her home in Cedar Rapids. Visitation will be held on Friday, May 9, 2025, from 12 - 2:00 p.m. at Papich Kuba Funeral Service, 1228 2nd Street SE Cedar Rapids, Iowa 52401. Private burial will take place at Linwood Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.

Della was born November 10, 1936, in Ely, Iowa, daughter of Emil and Jeannette (Brogan) Dostal.  She graduated from Wilson High School in Cedar Rapids and went on to college at Kirkwood Community College and was united in marriage to Thomas Novak in Cedar Rapids on September 2, 1956. Thomas passed away in 2013. Della retired as a lifelong secretary for Cherry Burrell, Cryovac, Square D Manufacturing, Penick and Ford, and also General Mills. Della also owned her own business, Della's Cherry Farm in Cedar Rapids, in memory of her grandmother. Della loved life and all that it brought her including her wonderful children.

She was a member of the Elks.

Survivors include her children, Lee (Jocelyn) Novak and their daughter, Alexis Vera Novak, Victoria (John) Daniel, and Lori (Brian) Long.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
