Donald E. Kuhn, 92, of Cedar Rapids, passed away Friday, June 22, 2018 at West Ridge Care Center.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday at Saint Ludmila Catholic Church by Father Kenneth Glaser. Burial will follow at Saint John's Cemetery. Visitation will be from 7 to 9 P.M. Sunday at Papich-Kuba Funeral Home
East, 1228 2 ^nd Street S.E. and after 1:00 P.M. Monday at the church.   A vigil service begins at 8:00 P.M. Sunday at the funeral home.

Donald is survived by his wife, Ruth; four children, Jeanette (Thomas) Niccolai of Cedar Rapids, Robert (Patricia) of Austin, Texas, John (Debra) of Walford and Mary Jacobs of Elkader; two sisters, Sister Bonnie Ann Kuhn and Sister Marianne Kuhn; a brother, Stanley; seven grandchildren, Jessica Deahl, Mark Olson, Jill Specht, Rachael Siegel, Jennifer Brown, Alan Kuhn and Kim Helmrichs and twenty great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and three sisters.

Donald was born January 10, 1926 at Fort Atkinson, Iowa to Edward and Viola (Shindelar) Kuhn. He served as an electrician's mate 3 ^rd class in the Navy in the Pacific.

Donald married Ruth Drilling on August 18, 1948 in Cresco, Iowa. They farmed near Burr Oak where he received the Winneshiek County Young Farmers Award.

In 1956 they moved to Cedar Rapids. Donald was president of the Cedar Rapids Board of Realtors. He was also a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, American Legion, Knights of Columbus and Catholic Laymen organizations. Don volunteered many hours at Mercy Medical Center.

He enjoyed traveling and had visited all 50 states and parts of Europe.
