Dorothy C. Newlon, 58, of Cedar Rapids, died Wednesday, September 13, 2023. Celebration of Life will be at a later date. Papich-Kuba Funeral Home is caring for the family.

Dottie is survived by her children, Misty Newlon, Mitchell (Kendra Fuller) Newlon, Brandy Newlon, Tiffany Newlon, and Angel (Sam) Jeffrey; grandchildren, Logen, Tysen, Ciera, Leaha, and Mason; brother, Jeff (Barb) LaCoursiere; former spouse, Mark Newlon; and fur friends, Boo and Hannah. She was preceded in death by her parents; and siblings, Teresa and Roger.

Born to Roger and Gail (Kesselring) LaCoursiere in Cedar Rapids, Dottie enjoyed her family, and a variety of jobs in varied industries throughout the years. She loved car racing, working as a mechanic, and helping in the pits. You could find her outside in nature, playing bingo, or just driving around town. Family and folks at Open Bible Church would attest to her fun loving nature.
