Dynise A. Collum Jr., 64, of Cedar Rapids, died Sunday, October 12, 2014 at his home following a brief illness.

Funeral Services: 5:30 P.M. Sunday at Papich-Kuba Funeral Home East, 1228 2nd Street S.E. with Deacon Robert Hurych, Saint Wenceslaus Catholic Church, officiating. Visitation for family and friends will be from 4:00 to 5:30 P.M. at the funeral home. Burial: Calvary Cemetery, Brooklyn, Iowa.

Dynise is survived by two sons, Brian Collum, Cedar Rapids and Tim Collum, Utah; two sisters, Connie Jo (David) Obenhaus, Cisco, Texas and Charolette (Andy Casto) Vander Ecken, Mitchellville; favorite niece, Treasa (Craig) Mitchell-Arterburn, Mitchellville; niece, Charlene (Tracy) Root, Arkansas, and nephew, James (Sonya) Wickersham, Nebraska.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Tina Marie Collum and parents, Dynise and Amanda (Farrell) Collum.

Dynise was born September 1, 1950 in Iowa City and grew up in Williamsburg. He was a 1968 graduate of Williamsburg High School. Dynise was employed by the Linn County Department of Transportation for 40 years until his retirement in 2013.

He enjoyed going to Rumors Bar and Grill to listen to the bands and for "card night".

A memorial fund has been established.
