Eugene E. Primrose, 80, of Cedar Rapids, passed away Tuesday, June 15, 2021 at the Hiawatha Care Center following a six-month illness.  Graveside services for family and friends will be at 1:30 P.M. Tuesday at Saint John's Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.  Papich-Kuba Funeral Service is serving the family.

Eugene is survived by his son, Michael Primrose and wife Brenda and their son, Brandon Primrose and his wife Monica; daughter, Christine Primrose and her son, Eric Headington and his wife Vanessa and their daughter, Emma Rose Headington.

Eugene was born September 18, 1940 in Cedar Rapids and was the son of Forest and Mary (Lockart) Primrose.  He was a 1958 graduate of Jefferson High School.

Eugene was very handy throughout his life.  He fixed small engines as well as doing some carpentry work and painting.  Eugene had been a Scout Master for many years and loved to bowl in his spare time.  He loved to meet new people and had a laugh that lit up the room.  In his later years he enjoyed playing card games, bingo and doing puzzles.
