Funeral Services will be at 10:00 A.M. Monday, November 24, 2014 at Papich-Kuba Funeral Home East, 1228 2nd Street S.E. where friends may call after 9:00 A.M. Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.

Geraldine (Evans) Partee was born on December 5, 1935 in Chicago Heights, Illinois to Mary and Steve Evans Sr.

Geraldine, Geri as she liked to be called, went home in glory to be with the Lord on November 10, 2014.

Geri attended Washington Elementary and graduated from Bloom Township High School in Chicago Heights. She graduated from Columbia College in Chicago, Illinois with her Bachelor's Degree.

In September of 1960, she proudly married Norris Thomas Partee. They remained in this marital union until he went to be with the Lord in May of 1996.

Geraldine took excellent pride in raising her children in the Faith that she was saved. A lifelong devoted member of the Church of God in Christ, she was always more than happy to say she was C.O.G.I.C. along with her family. She always had a smile for a stranger and a testimony on the goodness of the Lord.

Geri was preceded in death by her Mother, Father, 3 sisters, Lou Alma, Annie Ruth and Mary Francis. She also had one brother, Steven Evans Jr.

She leaves behind to mourn, one daughter Kim (Partee) and McLarry Burnette Jr., one son Noarse and Jennifer Partee Sr., eight grandchildren, Yavonne, Trenae, Noarse Jr., May Lena, Startiese, Alexandria, Aungelique and Oliviah. Four great-grandchildren, TreVion, James, I'Yahna and Sophia. Five step-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
