James "Jim" Eugene Homewood passed away on Saturday, August 25, 2018 at the age of 78.
Visitation will take place from 5 to 8 P.M. Wednesday at Papich-Kuba Funeral Home East, 1228 2 ^nd Street S.E., Cedar Rapids. A private family burial will take place at Linwood Cemetery.

Jim was born in Hawkeye, Iowa in 1940. He worked at Evergreen Packaging for 23 years before he retired in 2000. Shortly after, he turned his love of repairing small engines into a business, which was run out of his garage.

Jim is survived by his two sons, Mark (Kelly) Homewood and Blake (Kristi) Homewood, both of Cedar Rapids; two sisters, three grandchildren, three great grandchildren and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, and two sons, Michael and Brian Homewood.
