Jerry A. Drahozal, 82, of Cedar Rapids, died at his home Tuesday, July 24, 2018.

Funeral Mass: 10:00 A.M. Monday at Saint Wenceslaus Catholic Church by Father Christopher Podhajsky. Burial will follow at Saint John's Cemetery. Friends may call from 5 to 8 P.M. Sunday at Papich-Kuba Funeral Home East, 1228 2 ^nd Street S.E., where a rosary begins at 7:30 P.M.

Jerry A. Drahozal was born January 4, 1936 in Cedar Rapids to Wencil C. and Olga A. (Hruska) Drahozal. He married M. Joanne McElliott on June 25, 1960 at Saint Patrick's Catholic Church in Ryan. Joanne died May 23, 2014. Jerry was employed as a television director at WMT-TV for 18 years. He later worked as a sales representative for Service Press and Litho Company, Inc. for 26 years, retiring in 2001.

Jerry was a lifetime and actively involved member of Saint Wenceslaus Catholic Church. He also belonged to several fraternal and civic organizations.

Jerry is survived by his sons, Tim P. Drahozal of Garland, Texas and Tom J. (Dianne) Drahozal of Chicago. He is also survived by several in-laws and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, his parents and two brothers and their wives, Wesley J. and Olga Drahozal and Stanley and Barbara Drahozal.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Saint Wenceslaus Catholic Church.
