Jimmie Dean Watson, 64, of Marion, formerly of Cedar Rapids, died at home Tuesday afternoon, August 8, 2017.
Funeral Services will be at 3:00 P.M. Sunday at Papich-Kuba Funeral Home East, 1228 2nd Street S.E., Cedar Rapids, with Rev. William B. Harnish officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00 until 3:00 P.M. Sunday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Linwood Cemetery at a later date.
Jimmie is survived by two daughters, Bridget Nagel and husband Terry, Marion and Tanya Aguilar and husband Valentin, Cedar Rapids; four grandchildren, Gavin Garcia and Alexis, Sophia and Mason Aguilar; siblings, Betty Smith and Richard "Dick" Watson, both of Cedar Rapids; his dog, Snickers and Bridget's dog, Pee-Wee.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Dolly (Harnish) Watson.
Jimmie was born January 7, 1953 in Cedar Rapids and was a lifelong resident of Cedar Rapids and Marion. He was a graduate of Washington High School. Jimmie worked at Wilson & Co., later Farmstead Foods, for 17 years, retiring in 1990. He then worked at CCB Packaging, Hiawatha, until his retirement.
Jimmie founded Jimmie Watson's Miniature Pin Fire Guns Club. He enjoyed going to old car shows and watching NASCAR racing. Jimmie loved his dogs and listening to Willie Nelson music.
A memorial fund has been established in Jimmie's name
