Jimmy Dean Stewart, 84, of Toddville, Iowa, passed away on Friday, August 29, 2025, at Mercy Medical Center, Cedar Rapids. A visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 3, 2025, at Papich-Kuba Funeral Service, 1228 2nd Street SE. Burial will be at Dunkard Cemetery at a later date.

Jimmy was born on February 12, 1941, in Eagle Grove, Iowa, the son of Harve and Irene (Leeper) Stewart. He was united in marriage to Shirley Coppess in 1974.

Jimmy worked for himself as a garbage man and a roofer. He was a hobby farmer, raising chickens, cows, goats, horses, and donkeys. He enjoyed tinkering, building, and hunting.

Jimmy is survived by his wife, children, Debra (Daniel) Remington, Johnny Stewart, and Daniel Stewart; grandchildren, Adam Bowman, Amy Peyton, Caleb Stewart, Nash Stewart, and Danny Stewart; and great-grandchildren, Avery, Jr., and Mia.

Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents, son, James Stewart; and siblings, Elona Thompson, Donald Stewart, Leroy Stewart, and Patricia Bishop.
