Joyce R. Clancy, 85, of Hiawatha, formerly of Cedar Rapids, died Wednesday, July 26, 2023 at the Hiawatha Care Center.

Funeral Mass: 10:00 A.M. Monday at Saint Wenceslaus Catholic Church by Rev. Aaron Junge.  Entombment: Saint Joseph Cemetery, rural Cedar Rapids.  Friends may call from 5 to 7 P.M. Sunday at Papich-Kuba Funeral Home East, 1228 2nd Street S.E., where a vigil service begins at 6:30 P.M.

Joyce is survived by two sons, David William, rural Blairstown and Michael Arthur (Trista Cortez), Cedar Rapids and one sister, Beverly Sugden, Rio, Wisconsin.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William; an infant daughter, Carmen Marie; her parents; and three beloved dogs, Girl, Margaret and Heidi.

Joyce was born October 4, 1937 in Iowa City to Stanley and Doris (Heller) Graves.  She married William F. Clancy on February 2, 1957 in Iowa City and he preceded her in death on March 23, 2019.

Joyce was a long-time member of Saint Wenceslaus Catholic Church and the adult choir and funeral choir.  She was also a member of the Cedar Valley Humane Society and a former member of Sweet Adelines International.
