Kathryn (Kreutzer) Howrey, 95, of Cedar Rapids, died Friday, July 27, 2018 at Heritage Specialty Care.

A Celebration of Kathryn's Life will be from 5 to 8 P.M. Tuesday at Papich-Kuba Funeral Home East, 1228 2 ^nd Street S.E., Cedar Rapids.

Kathryn is survived by her children, LaLonnie Alff, Mary Ann Donels and Bill (Vicky) Howrey; daughter-in-law, Robin Howrey; and sister, Mona Paul; as well as numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Howrey; daughter, Nancy Jones and sons, Bobby and Colin Howrey; grandson, Shawn Jones; three sons-in-law, Denny Donels, Garland Alff Sr. and Brad Jones; former son-in-law, Jerry Slagle; four brothers and one sister.

Kathryn was born June 13, 1923 in Hugo, Colorado to William and Lucille (Kvach) Kreutzer. She married Clyde Howrey on December 25, 1941.

Kathryn enjoyed watching the Chicago Cubs, listening to country music, playing bingo and having a cold glass of beer.

Kathryn's family wishes to thank the Heritage nursing staff and Care Initiatives Hospice for the wonderful care that was provided to their mother.

A memorial fund has been established.
