Kathy Lea McNamara, 57, of rural Swisher, died at her home Saturday morning, April 12, 2014.

Friends may visit with the family from 3 to 7 P.M. Friday, April 18th at Papich-Kuba Janeba Chapel West, 1604 "J" Street S.W., Cedar Rapids.

Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, May 17th at 1:00 P.M. at Papich-Kuba Janeba Chapel West with Rev. William B. Harnish officiating.

Kathy is survived by her six children, Shawn McNamara, Cedar Rapids, Kasey McNamara, Swisher, Kazzy McNamara, Cedar Rapids, Sidney McNamara and Stasney McNamara, both of Swisher and Sawyer McNamara, Cedar Rapids; 20 grandchildren; 1 great-grandson; her mother, Maxine Coufal, Swisher; sister, Pam Lukehart and husband LeRoy and brother, Dan Coufal, both of Warsaw, Missouri; former husband, Steve McNamara, Cedar Rapids.

She was preceded in death by her father, Frank Coufal.

Kathy was born on September 16, 1956 in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of Frank and Maxine (Renfro) Coufal and was a lifelong Swisher area resident. She sold advertising, but her greatest and most rewarding work was being a full-time mother which she loved above all else. Kathy enjoyed playing pool, flower gardening and collecting all sorts of items.
