Leona A. Jones, 87, Marion, formerly of Cedar Rapids, passed away Friday evening, September 17, 2021 at Silver Oak Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Marion.

Funeral Services: 1:30 P.M. Wednesday, September 22 ^nd , at Papich-Kuba Funeral Home East, 1228 2 ^nd Street S.E., Cedar Rapids where visitation will begin at noon.  Private Family Burial: Morrison Cemetery, rural Cedar Rapids.

Leona is survived by three children, Carl (Glenda) Jones, Marion, Leona "Loni" (Thomas) Lutz, Ocala, Florida and Linda (Richard) Steggall, Ely; sisters, Delores Grulkey, Hiawatha and Carol (Don) Eiben, Anamosa; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren and one on the way.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward A. Jones; her parents, Carl and Dorothy (Soukup) Michels and siblings, Judy, Alice and Richard.

Leona was born August 9, 1934 in Iowa City and lived most of her life in the Cedar Rapids area.  She was employed at Square D Company for many years until retiring in 1992.

She was a member of Weight Watchers and the Widows and Widowers Club.  Leona enjoyed shopping for clothes and jewelry and also going out to eat with friends and family.

A memorial fund has been established.
