Lori Lea Barnett, 63, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away on Tuesday, April 14, 2026.

Visitation: 4:00-7:00 p.m., Friday, April 17, 2026, Papich-Kuba Funeral Service, 1228 2nd Street SE, Cedar Rapids, Iowa 52401.

Funeral: 10:00 a.m., Saturday, April 18, 2026, at the funeral home.

Burial: Czech National Cemetery.

Lori was born on February 26, 1963, in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of Donald and Mary (McDonald) Haas. She was united in marriage to Donald Bruce on May 14, 1983, at the Little Brown Church, Nashua, Iowa. They later divorced in 1990. Lori married Steve Barnett on July 15, 1995. Steve passed in 2001. She then rekindled her relationship with Donny.

Lori worked as a meter maid for the city of Cedar Rapids. She loved Christmas, traveling, her grandchildren, a dance party, and a Friday night margarita at Cancun.

Lori is survived by her children, Melissa (Bill Strause) Bruce and Donald J. (Rose) Bruce; grandchildren, Emma (Colten), Stevana (Colby), Xavier, Jema, Donald Jax, Ivy, and Eli; great-grandchildren, Braxlee, Waylon, Brentlee, and one on the way; a number of siblings; many nieces and nephews, and dog, Biggs.

Lori was preceded in death by her parents, special ex, Donald Bruce, and husband, Steve Barnett.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the family in care of Lori Barnett.
