Mary Lou (Drahozal) Sanborn, 79, of Cedar Rapids died Wednesday, December 20, 2017.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 A.M. Tuesday at Saint Ludmila Catholic Church with Father Kenneth Glaser as celebrant. Friends may call after 9:30 A.M. at the church. Burial will follow at Saint John's Cemetery. Papich-Kuba Funeral Service is serving the family.

Mary Ludmila Drahozal was born January 9, 1938 in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of Rudolph and Bridget (Hruska) Drahozal. She graduated from Saint Wenceslaus High School and Mount Mercy College, Department of Nursing. She retired from Mercy Medical Center.

Survivors include her daughter, Laurie (Jon) Neuwohner and their daughters, Faith and Erin; and a son, Scott (Donna) Sanborn and their children, Emily and Ryan. She is also survived by five siblings and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Thomas, in infancy, a brother, Ed and a sister-in-law, Shirley Drahozal.

Memorials can be given to Saint Ludmila Catholic Church or to a charity to benefit the homeless and hungry in our community.
