Milo B. Kofron, 91, of Cedar Rapids, died late Monday evening, March 16, 2015 at Heritage Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Funeral Mass: 10:00 A.M. Saturday at Saint Wenceslaus Catholic Church by Father Christopher Podhajsky. Burial: Saint John's Cemetery. Friends may call from 5 to 8 P.M. Friday at Papich-Kuba Funeral Home East, 1228 2nd Street S.E., where a rosary begins at 7:30 P.M.
Milo is survived by his son, Bernie, Cedar Rapids; a daughter-in-law, Lawana Kofron, Cedar Rapids; grandson, Shane (Cindy) Kofron, Shueyville; 2 sisters, Ginger (Ken) Erger and Rose Sedlacek, both of Cedar Rapids and 4 great-grandchildren, Chayse, Peyton, Torrie and Kyann Kofron.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Gladys, his son, Ron, grandson, Thad and his parents, Frank and Elizabeth (Noska) Kofron.
Milo was born November 20, 1923 in Cedar Rapids and was a lifelong resident. He married Gladys A. Blin on January 28, 1947 in Algona, Iowa. Gladys died July 9, 2011. Milo was employed as a torch cutter at Link-Belt Speeder Co. for 40 years until his retirement.
He was an Army veteran of World War II. Milo was a longtime member of Saint Wenceslaus Catholic Church.
Military graveside services will be conducted by American Legion Moomey-Vogel Post 727.
Memorial contributions may be given to Saint Wenceslaus Catholic Church or a charity of the donor's choice.
