Myrtle Ross

Myrtle “Snookie” Alice Ross, 71, of Marion, Iowa, passed away on Sunday, July 19, 2026, at Evergreen Estates III, Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Visitation: 1:00-3:00 p.m., Sunday, July 26, 2026, Papich-Kuba Funeral Service, 1228 2nd Street SE, Cedar Rapids, 52401. Funeral: 10:30 a.m., Monday, July 27, 2026, at the funeral home. Burial: Dunkard Cemetery, Midway, Iowa. Papich-Kuba Funeral Service, Cedar Rapids, is assisting the family with arrangements.

Myrtle was born on November 23, 1954, in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of Glen and Myrtle (LaGrange) Reynolds. She was united in marriage to William “Bill” Ross on July 23, 1971, in Reno, Nevada.

Myrtle worked as a housekeeper in Cedar Rapids and over in Germany. When they lived in Kentucky she worked at a Coca-Cola factory. Her hobbies were playing darts and bowling she, has been in a few leagues. She was into crafts of all kinds. Here in the later years, she loved her pull tabs, she was pretty good at winning money off of them. She will be missed by many that knew her!

Myrtle is survived by her husband; children, Brenda (David) Weir and William “Billy” Ross Jr.; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and siblings, Merry (Jim) Boring and Glen Reynolds Jr.

Myrtle was preceded in death by her parents; grandson, Kristopher Ross; and siblings, Marilyn Reynolds and Jessie Reynolds.
