Nancy Louise (Dolph) Reents, 74, of Cedar Rapids, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 7, 2014.
Visitation from 11:00 A.M.-12:00 P.M.; Memorial Service from 12:00 P.M.-1:00 P.M.; and Luncheon from 1:00 P.M.-3:00 P.M. on Saturday, July 19, 2014 all at Unity Center of Cedar Rapids, 3791 Blairs Ferry Road N.E. Papich-Kuba Funeral Service assisting the family.
Nancy was born February 5, 1940 in Two Harbors, Minnesota. As a child, Nancy and her family relocated to Cedar Rapids. Nancy grew up in Cedar Rapids as a city girl, and at the age of 36, became a country girl when she moved to Mount Vernon, Iowa. Nancy embraced and enjoyed life on the farm. After 13 years on the farm, Nancy and her children moved to Atlanta, Georgia. In Atlanta, Nancy met and married her late husband Larry Reents. Nancy and Larry enjoyed traveling, the ocean and their grandchildren.
Nancy was an accomplished artist, musician, seamstress and cook.
Nancy is survived by her two children, Sally (Gardner) Miller and Jeffrey (Hope) Gardner; six grandchildren; sister, Janice Johnson; and brother, Dan Dolph, all of Cedar Rapids; sister, Dee Shakespeare of Brunswick, Georgia; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, Virgie and Myron Dolph; husband, Larry Reents; brothers, Bill and Bob Dolph and sister, Donna Watts.
