Norma Jean Taylor, 83, of Blackduck, Minnesota, formerly of Cedar Rapids, died Sunday evening, November 11, 2012 at Heritage House Assisted Living in Blackduck.
Funeral Services: 1:00 P.M. Wednesday at Papich-Kuba Funeral Home East, 1228 2nd Street S.E. by Rev. Bob Voels of Trinity United Methodist Church. Burial: Sisley Grove Cemetery, rural Cedar Rapids. Friends may call from 5 to 7 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Norma is survived by two daughters, Sally (John) Lee, Blackduck, Minnesota and Penny (Rod Everts) Taylor, Cedar Rapids; two grandchildren, Jeremy Simmons and fiancée Stacy Grapes and Riley Everts, both of Cedar Rapids; great-grandaughter, Jayden Simmons, Cedar Rapids; brother Vinton (Tamae) Margretz and sister, Wilma (George) Kibler, both of Cedar Rapids.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Elery; her parents, Glen and Pauline (Craft) Margretz; sisters, Wanda Cook, Jane Morris and Joan Tank and a brother, Paul Margretz.
Norma was born October 27, 1929 in Waterloo. She had been employed at Saint Luke's Hospital for 25 years, Mercy Medical Center for 4 years and then cleaned offices until her retirement.
She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church. Norma enjoyed music, karaoke, dancing, singing and reading.
A memorial fund has been established.
