Patricia Mae O'Connor, 74, of Cedar Rapids, passed away Monday, September 26, 2016. Papich-Kuba Funeral Service is assisting the family.

Due to the flooding, a memorial visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, September 29th at Stewart Baxter Funeral Home, 1844 First Avenue N.E., Cedar Rapids. Visitors are requested to dress casually. There will also be a private family burial service.

Pat was born March 17, 1942, in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of Paul and Velma Chesmore. She married John R. O'Connor Sr. on March 9, 1984. She worked as an assistant store manager at Kmart in southwest Cedar Rapids for over 25 years, before retiring.

She is survived by her husband of 32 years, John; children, John (Jodi) Harris of Marion and Mark Harris and Stefani O'Connor of Cedar Rapids; stepsons, Johnny (Tammy) O'Connor and Jason O'Connor; and daughter-in-law, Amanda O'Connor. She also has three brothers, Paul (Pat) Chesmore of Marion and Irvin Cahill and Jimmy Martin of Cedar Rapids. Pat has 16 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Pat loved her time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also enjoyed crocheting, playing cards and meeting her retired friends for an occasional dinner.
