Paul L. "Butch" Chesmore, 76, of Marion, died Friday, September 30, 2016 at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, Iowa City.
A Celebration of Paul's Life will be held at a future date. Papich-Kuba Funeral Service, Cedar Rapids, is serving the family.
Paul is survived by his wife, Pat; children, Chris Welsh, Van Horne, Tawnya (Andy) Eyrich, Erie, Illinois, Paulette (Mike) Clark, Homewood, Illinois and David (Melissa) Smith, Cedar Rapids; brother, James (Tracey) Martin, Cedar Rapids; eight grandchildren, two step-grandchildren and one great-grandson.
He was preceded in death by his parents, step-father, James Martin, a sister, an infant brother, one grandson and one granddaughter.
Paul was born February 26, 1940 in Cedar Rapids, the son of Paul and Velma Chesmore. He was a lifetime resident of Cedar Rapids and Marion. He married Pat D. Bentley on June 21, 2010 in Marion.
Paul was a C.B. Radio enthusiast whose handle was "Flying Bud". He also enjoyed fishing.
