Paul was born December 28, 1930 in Cedar Rapids to first and second generation Czechoslovakian immigrant parents. Paul was a lifelong resident of Cedar Rapids. Paul was employed at Iowa Steel and Iron Works, Inc. and also at the Colonial Bakery.
