Obituary

Randy Dean Fields, 61, of Cedar Rapids, died at his home Monday, October 12, 2015.

Memorial Services: 1:00 P.M. Saturday, November 7, 2015 at Papich-Kuba Funeral Home East, 1228 2nd Street S.E., by Pastor Greg Williamson, Saint Paul's Lutheran Church, Marion. Friends may call after noon Saturday, November 7th, at the funeral home.

Randy is survived by his mother, Lois (Jack) Frisk, Cedar Rapids; sisters, Debbie (Eric) Berg, Robins and Dorrie Armstrong, Cedar Rapids; brothers, Chris Church, Cedar Rapids, Harry Fields, Deming, New Mexico and George (Michelle) Fields, Topeka, Kansas; stepbrother, Bart (Melanie) Frisk, Shueyville; very dear friend, Robert Williams, Cedar Rapids; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his sisters, Lou Ann Goldie and Terry Lynn Kester; his brother, Douglas Fields Jr.; his father, Keith Collier; his "mom", Bessie Church and "dad", Douglas Fields Sr. and his grandparents, George Sr. and Ruth Fields.

Randy was born January 19, 1954 in Iowa City and was a 1972 graduate of Jefferson High School. He was a hospital corpsman in the U.S. Navy for 4 years. Randy lived in Boston, Massachusetts for over 30 years, where he was employed as a Medical Administrator and Private Health Care Provider at the Boston Children's Hospital. He returned to Cedar Rapids from Boston on August 2, 2014.
