Reida I. Hunt, 74, of Cedar Rapids, died Wednesday morning, February 27, 2013 at her home.

Funeral Services: 1:30 P.M. Saturday at Papich-Kuba Janeba Chapel West, 1604 "J" Street S.W., where friends may call from 5 to 8 P.M. Friday. Burial: Sisley Grove Cemetery, rural Cedar Rapids.

Reida is survived by 8 children, Harold Hunt Jr. and wife Denise and James Hunt, both of Cedar Rapids, William Hunt and wife Donna, Marshalltown, Michael Hunt and wife Sheri, Cedar Rapids, April Long and husband Kim, Marengo, Kevin Hunt and wife Annette and Jeffery Hunt and wife Christine, both of Marion and Rebecca Erlacher and husband James, Cedar Rapids; 1 sister, Viola Patten, Cedar Rapids; 42 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Sr., her parents, William and Daisy (Fite) Petty, 2 sisters and 2 brothers.

Reida was born November 12, 1938 in Alba, New York and moved to Cedar Rapids with her husband and family from Batavia, New York in 1971. She married Harold H. Hunt Sr. on September 10, 1955 in Batavia, New York and he died November 13, 1997.

Reida loved her grandchildren and enjoyed having visitors. She was a Chicago Cubs and Pittsburgh Steelers fan, enjoyed her iPad and the Linn County Canines.

Memorial contributions may be given to the Cedar Rapids and Linn County Canine Division.
