Richard A. Seaton, 81, of Cedar Rapids, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, April 20, 2022 at Mercy Medical Center.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Monday at Papich-Kuba Funeral Home East, 1228 2 ^nd Street S.E., with Rev. Reggie Daniel officiating.  Burial will follow at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 2 to 5 P.M. Sunday at the funeral home.

Richard is survived by his children, Tracy Seaton, Wade (Deb) Seaton and Wendy Seaton, all of Cedar Rapids and Chris (Lisa) Seaton of Marion; 9 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren and 3 brothers, Duane (Rosemary) Johnson of Marion, Kenny Johnson of DeWitt, and Glenn Williams of Missouri.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley and his parents, De Los Seaton and Dora Lee (McCalley) Seaton Williams.

Richard was born March 23, 1941 in Cedar Rapids and was a lifelong resident.  He married Shirley A. Richards on November 26, 1960 in Cedar Rapids.  Shirley died November 25, 2014.  Richard was employed at Rockwell Collins Co. for 39 years until his retirement.

Richard enjoyed hunting, especially coon hunting, fishing and visiting the Riverside Casino.
