Rosemary C. Malik, 86, of Cedar Rapids, died Sunday, September 13, 2015 at the Hiawatha Care Center, Hiawatha.

Latin Requiem Mass: 9:00 A.M. Friday, September 25, 2015 at Saint Wenceslaus Catholic Church by Father Christopher Podhajsky. Burial: Saint John's Cemetery. Papich-Kuba Funeral Service is in charge of the arrangements.

Rosemary is survived by her brother, Norbert (Margaret) Malik, Iowa City; three greatly loved nieces, Mary Loretta Malik and husband, Bill Fitzhenry, San Luis Obispo, California, Calliope Sheen, Seattle, Washington and Kathryn Malik and husband, Andrew Kochan, Denver, Colorado; and a great-niece, Emily Kochan.

Preceding Rosemary in death were her parents, Julius and Mary Rose (Samek) Malik.

Rosemary was born June 17, 1929 in Cedar Rapids and was a lifelong resident. She graduated from Saint Wenceslaus High School and Mount Mercy Junior College. Rosemary did secretarial work throughout her life and was employed at the Equitable Life Insurance Co., Western Fraternal Life Association and Kilborn Photo Products.

Rosemary enjoyed traveling, belonged to a bowling league and volunteered 1000 hours in trauma at Mercy Medical Center.

Rosemary was always very grateful to the Sisters of Mercy for the education she received at both Saint Wence and Mount Mercy Junior College.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Saint Wenceslaus Catholic Church.
