Sharron L. Elguezabal, 76, of Irving Point Assisted Living, Cedar Rapids, died Wednesday afternoon, November 7, 2012 at the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy, Hiawatha.

Memorial Services will be held at a later date. Papich-Kuba Funeral Service is serving the family.

Sharron is survived by two children, Craig (Carol Secor) Elguezabal and Pam Stratton, both of Cedar Rapids; six grandchildren, Ashley Glass, Samantha and Cody Stratton, Kiley Elguezabal, Flint and Chase Stratton; three great-grandchildren, Kai and Tallas Stratton and Athena Elguezabal.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry; parents, Frederick and Ruby (Burlingham) O'Kelly and brother Ron O'Kelly.

Sharron was born February 6, 1936 in Cedar Rapids and lived there most of her life. She married Henry L. Elguezabal on October 4, 1959 in Cedar Rapids and he died March 17, 1974. Sharron had been employed as a registrar at Mercy Medical Center and later in shoe sales at Kohl's Department Store. She was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church.

Sharron enjoyed doing various types of craft work, especially ceramics.
