Thelma Marie Fye, 80, of Cedar Rapids, died early Monday, June 1, 2015 at the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy, Hiawatha.

Services: 10:30 A.M. Friday at Papich-Kuba Funeral Home East, 1228 2nd Street S.E., by Rev. Sonda Kirsteatter, Olivet Presbyterian Church. Burial: Czech National Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 7 P.M. Thursday at the funeral home.

Thelma is survived by her children, Lynda (Michael) Heims and David "D.J." (Kim) Holvenstot, both of Cedar Rapids; 5 grandchildren, Christina (Dustin) Anderson, Kenneth, Shelby and Katie Holvenstot, all of Cedar Rapids and Hilary (Brock) Thompson, Jacksonville, North Carolina; 3 great-grandchildren, Ava, Christian and Natalie; brothers, Vernon "Buck" (Joann) Pickerill, Amana and Jack (Janet) Pickerill, Sunrise, Florida; special niece, Patty Mellen, Beach Park, Illinois and other nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Vernon and Marie (Hunter) Pickerill.

Thelma was born February 11, 1935 in Cedar Rapids and was a lifelong resident. She married Kenneth D. Holvenstot December 14, 1957 in Cedar Rapids and they were later divorced. In Cedar Rapids, on December 2, 1988 Thelma married Darrel Fye. They were later divorced. Thelma was employed in clerical and computer work at Klein Tools for 11 years and later with Manpower. She continued to work part-time for Manpower in her retirement.

Thelma was a member of Olivet Presbyterian Church.

A memorial fund has been established.
