Vernon David Stanley, 49, of Manchester, formerly of Cedar Rapids, died Sunday, November 13, 2016.

A Celebration of David's Life will be at 1:30 P.M. Saturday, November 19th, at Tower Terrace Mobile Home Park, 4032 Bobolink Lane, Hiawatha. Papich-Kuba Funeral Service, Cedar Rapids, is serving the family.

David was born January 27, 1967 in Iowa City. He had lived at the Abbe Center, Marion, the Penn Center, Delhi and most recently G and G Living Centers in Manchester.

David is survived by his father, Gary Bruner; a brother, Jerry Hunt; Alex Booth and Sam Sessler, who were like brothers to him; very best friend, Rose Ash; uncle, Joe (Carol) Dighton; aunts, Joyce (Bob) Slaymaker and Mary (Rick) Randall; Strad and Chanell Dighton and many other cousins.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Verna Jean (Dighton) Bruner; grandparents, Vernon and Ethel Dighton; uncle Strad Dighton; aunt, Linda Dighton; and a cousin, Silas Gentz.

David's family would like to extend a very special thanks to all of his friends and families. He loved you all very much and felt love from each and every one of you.
