Vicki Rae Newburn, 75, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away on Monday, October 6, 2025, at St. Luke's Hospital, Cedar Rapids. Visitation: 4:00-6:00 p.m., Monday, October 13, 2025, Papich-Kuba Funeral Home East, 1228 2nd Street, Cedar Rapids, Iowa 52401. Burial: 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 14, 2025, Garden of Memories Cemetery, Waterloo, Iowa.

Vicki was born on January 21, 1950, the daughter of Lester Franke and Esther (Hach) Collis.

Vicki enjoyed growing flowers, caring for cats, and Jake, the family dog. Vicki served in the US Military as part of the McMurdo Research Station group. This was a major event in her life that she was quite proud of, rightly so! She also enjoyed an occasional gambling trip with her friend Cindy, and baking cookies. She was always well dressed and looking classy. She had a heart of gold and was so proud of her "boys", Robert and Josiah. Vicki also had a decorator's eye and kept a beautiful home.

Vicki is survived by her son, Robert Newburn; grandson, Josiah Newburn; many cousins and their families; and her best friend, Cindy Usher.

Vicki was preceded in death by her parents.
