Wayne H. Cox's Obituary
Wayne H. Cox, 63, of Cedar Rapids, died after a long illness in his home Wednesday evening, October 14, 2015.
Funeral Mass: 10:00 A.M. Monday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church by Father Christopher Podhajsky. Burial: Mount Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call from 3 to 7 P.M. Sunday at Papich-Kuba Funeral Home East, 1228 2nd Street S.E. and after 9:00 A.M. Monday at the church.
Wayne is survived by his wife, Alice; daughter, Angela Cox, Cedar Rapids; many good friends and a large extended family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold "Jack" and Pauline "Sally" (Davis) Cox.
Wayne was born February 19, 1952 in Cedar Rapids and was a lifelong resident. He graduated from Kirkwood Community College with an AA Degree. Wayne had been employed at Farmstead Foods and later drove bus for the School District and the City of Cedar Rapids. He retired in 2005.
Wayne was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 304. He loved to play euchre and was an avid football fan, especially the Chicago Bears.
A memorial fund has been established.
